Slow-Release Fertilizer An iron deficiency can be recognized by pale leaf colors, poor growth, and chlorosis—yellowing of the leaf tissue while the leaf veins remain green. With Oase’s Iron Slow-Release Fertilizer, you can prevent and correct deficiency symptoms every 14 days. It contains high-quality additional nutrients for aquarium plants and, in particular, adds the important trace element iron to the aquarium water. Furthermore, the fertilizer contains manganese, which, when combined with iron, supports healthy, vigorous growth of aquatic plants and the development of intense leaf colors. It effectively prevents stunted growth, iron deficiency chlorosis, and pale, translucent leaves. The iron(II) compound used in the Oase Iron Slow-Release Fertilizer is particularly well absorbed by aquarium plants. The fertilizer has both an immediate and a sustained-release effect; therefore, a weekly application is sufficient if the daily fertilizer is not used. As a system fertilizer, a 14-dayly application is recommended in combination with weekly and daily fertilizers to adequately nourish all plants in the aquarium.
