Tortoise Mix

Tortoise Mix is an ideal, natural staple food for all species of tortoises. Unlike most tortoise foods, Tortoise Mix does not consist of extruded pellets with questionable ingredients such as fish meal, but is made exclusively from natural plant-based ingredients. In addition to hay pellets made from a variety of meadow herbs, it contains dried carrot pieces and calendula flowers, which are a treat for the animals. The food is rich in natural vitamins and has a high crude fiber content, as recommended by veterinarians.

Feeding recommendation:
Tortoise Mix should always be fed slightly moistened, as the pellets are quite hard and swell significantly. To do this, simply place the food in a bowl until the bottom is just covered with food. Then add about the same amount of water. Let it soak, stir after about 5 minutes, and serve to the animals. Alternatively, you can simply spray the food with a little water from a spray bottle. Remove any uneaten food immediately. Ensure a varied diet by combining it with other Lucky Reptile foods and supplements, such as HerbiVit, PRO Mineral, or Sepia products.
