JBL ProFlora CO2 Taifun Inline 12/16 - CO2 Diffuser in the Filter Return Line

The CO2 Taifun Inline Diffuser is integrated directly into the return line of the external filter—more specifically, into the hose that returns water from the external filter. A bubble counter for adjusting the CO2 flow rate is already built in. This makes it possible to introduce CO2 into the aquarium water completely invisibly. The days of having a diffuser directly in the aquarium are now over.

Why CO2

Nutrients for Aquarium Plants
Plants supply the aquarium with vital oxygen for its inhabitants, prevent algae growth, remove pollutants, provide hiding places, and reduce pathogens. The JBL plant fertilization system supplies plants with CO2—the primary nutrient—through the water. The plants absorb this CO2 and, through photosynthesis and with the help of light, convert it into sugar and oxygen.

It makes no difference to the plants where the CO2 comes from—whether from biological or pressurized bottle systems. They grow significantly faster as soon as a CO2 system is installed. The choice of system is more a matter of personal preference for the aquarist: whether they prefer disposable bottles, refillable pressurized bottles, or a non-pressurized biological system.
