Care and Cleaning: Food, plant debris, and metabolic waste cause contamination in an aquarium. Cleaning the tank and accessories, along with regular partial water changes, ensures the well-being of the inhabitants and maintains the enjoyment of the aquarium.  Clean Hoses The JBL double hose brush, featuring a highly flexible steel spiral with brushes at each end, ensures clean hoses and thereby increases filter performance by 30%. Regular cleaning maintains the biological balance in the aquarium and protects the filter from loss of performance.  Internal contamination of the hoses is not only caused by algae growth but also results from normal biological processes: bacterial biofilms form on the inside of the plastic, which are not a problem for the fish. However, as mentioned, this “slimy” coating reduces water flow by up to 30%! Easy to use: Remove the hose from the corresponding unit, push the steel spiral with brushes at both ends through the hose, and pull it through. Clean approximately every eight weeks.
