Product Description

Strontium 24

For the daily care of invertebrates. For skeletal development and coral growth. Contains trace amounts of molybdenum.

Dosage:
For a normal population, add 1 drop per 50 liters of aquarium water daily. If there are many fast-growing stony corals (e.g., Acropora species) in the aquarium, the dosage may be carefully increased. If you notice increased growth of unwanted algae species or a decline in the Xenias population, reduce the dosage.

Strontium is a structural and trace element and occurs in seawater at a concentration of 8 mg/l. Along with calcium and magnesium, strontium is one of the most important trace elements and plays a key role in the care of stony corals, calcareous algae, and mussels. Strontium is also an essential trace element for the skeletal development of stony corals, as it is incorporated into the crystal lattice of aragonite. Regular addition of Strontium 24 nano promotes the growth of stony corals as well as the popular calcareous red algae. In particular, growth improves significantly in all Acopora and Pocillopora species. Strontium is not stable in aquarium water and is often no longer detectable after just 12–15 hours. To prevent growth stagnation in corals or calcareous algae due to a strontium deficiency, it is important to regularly add Strontium 24 nano to the aquarium. The trace element molybdenum plays an essential role in the biology of many marine invertebrates and nitrifying filter bacteria. Since molybdenum is also removed from the aquarium water by reef-building organisms, it must be replenished continuously.
