Basic 2 - Magnesium for Saltwater / Basics

Basic 2 Magnesium is a specially developed supplement, based on high-purity magnesium chloride hexahydrate, for all saltwater aquariums. Basic 2 Magnesium allows for easy adjustment of the magnesium level and promotes the healthy growth of corals and invertebrates. The optimal magnesium level is 1350 mg/L. Basic 2 Magnesium is highly pure and free of organic impurities.

Dosage Options

BASIC Stock Solution (1 liter): Place 419 g into a measuring cup and fill it with reverse osmosis water to 1 liter. Adding 10 ml of this stock solution to 100 liters of aquarium water increases the magnesium content by approximately 5 mg/L.

BASIC Concentrate (1 liter): Place 500 g in a measuring cup and fill it with reverse osmosis water to 1 liter. Adding 17 ml of this stock solution to 100 liters of aquarium water increases the magnesium content by approximately 10 mg/L.

Direct addition: Add 8.5 g per 100 liters of water to your filter tank to increase the magnesium content by approximately 10 mg/L.

Tips:

• The daily dosage depends on consumption. Therefore, check the carbonate hardness in your aquarium regularly.

• Use Basic 2 Magnesium together with our Basic series for optimal basic care of your corals.

• Basic 2 Magnesium can also be used for the original Balling method.
