Basic 3 - Carbonate for Saltwater / Basics

Basic 3 Carbonate is a specially developed supplement, based on high-purity sodium bicarbonate, for all saltwater aquariums. Basic 3 Carbonate allows for easy adjustment of carbonate hardness and promotes the healthy growth of corals and invertebrates. Basic 3 Carbonate is highly pure and free of organic impurities.

Dosage options

BASIC Stock Solution (1 liter): Place 60 g into a measuring cup and fill it with reverse osmosis water to a total volume of 1 liter. Adding 50 ml of this stock solution to 100 liters of aquarium water increases the carbonate hardness by approximately 1° dKH.

BASIC Concentrate (1 liter): Place 80 g in a measuring cup and fill it with reverse osmosis water to 1 liter. Adding 37 ml of this stock solution to 100 liters of aquarium water increases the carbonate hardness (KH) by approximately 1 °dKH.

Direct addition: Add 3 g per 100 liters of water to your filter tank to increase the carbonate hardness by approximately 1 °dKH.

The optimal carbonate hardness is 8 °dKH.

Tips:

• The daily dosage depends on consumption. Therefore, check the carbonate hardness in your aquarium regularly.

• Use Basic 3 Carbonate together with our Basic series to provide optimal basic care for your corals.

• Always dose Basic 3 Carbonate and Basic 1 Calcium at different times.

• Basic 3 Carbonate can also be used for the original Balling method. Special Notes:
