Basic 1 - Calcium for Saltwater / Basics

Basic 1 Calcium is a specially developed supplement, based on high-purity calcium chloride dihydrate, for all saltwater aquariums. Basic 1 Calcium allows for easy adjustment of the calcium level and promotes the healthy growth of corals and invertebrates. The optimal calcium level is 420 mg/L. Basic 1 Calcium is highly pure and free of organic impurities.

Dosage options

BASIC Stock Solution (1 liter): Place 367 g in a measuring cup and fill it with reverse osmosis water to 1 liter. Adding 10 ml of this stock solution to 100 liters of aquarium water increases the calcium content by approximately 10 mg/L.

BASIC Concentrate (1 liter): Place 500 g in a measuring cup and fill it with reverse osmosis water to 1 liter. Adding 7.5 ml of this stock solution to 100 liters of aquarium water increases the calcium content by approximately 10 mg/L.

Direct addition: Add 3.7 g per 100 liters of water to your filter tank to increase the calcium content by approximately 10 mg/L.

Tips:

• The daily dosage depends on consumption. Therefore, check the carbonate hardness in your aquarium regularly.

• Use Basic 1 Calcium together with our Basic series to provide optimal basic care for your corals.

• Always dose Basic 1 Calcium and Basic 3 Carbonate at different times.

• Basic 1 Calcium can also be used for the original Balling method.

• Use cold reverse-osmosis water, as calcium chloride dissolves while generating heat.
