Tropic Marin Nitribiotic - Essential Bacteria for the Saltwater Aquarium

With Tropic Reef Nitribiotic, you add essential bacteria to your saltwater aquarium. Among other things, these bacteria are responsible for a process known as nitrification. Nitrification is the conversion of the toxic substance nitrite into non-toxic nitrate. It is only through the action of these bacteria that the process is set in motion, creating a viable environment in your saltwater aquarium. Adding the product is very easy, and the liquid is odorless.

Tropic Marin Nitribiotic – Probiotic and nitrifying bacteria.

Tropic Marin® NITRIBIOTIC is a combination of probiotic and nitrifying bacteria in a single formulation designed to improve water quality and strengthen the immune systems of fish and shrimp. The nitrifying bacteria effectively initiate nitrification—that is, the process of breaking down harmful ammonia into harmless nitrate. The purple bacteria contained in the product oxidize harmful hydrogen sulfide into harmless sulfur and sulfate. Probiotic bacteria and yeasts have a proven positive effect on the health and well-being of fish and shrimp, especially during rearing.

Recommended Use

Shake the bottle vigorously before each use! To allow the bacteria to colonize the tank unimpeded, turn off UV systems, ozonizers, and skimmers before dosing, and do not turn them back on until 3–4 hours after dosing. NITRIBIOTIC can be added to the inlet of a biological filter or directly into the tank water.

Attach the included tube to the syringe and use the syringe to measure out the desired amount of NITRIBIOTIC. The air that enters the tube and syringe when drawing up the solution does not affect the dosage. The lower edge of the plunger always indicates the correct dosage, even if, due to the drawn-in air, the desired amount of NITRIBIOTIC is only in the tubing and not in the syringe chamber. The drawn-in air serves to empty the tubing during dosing.

Start with a single dose of 1 ml per 100 l of aquarium volume. A subsequent weekly dose of 1 ml per 200 l of aquarium volume maintains and renews the probiotic effect.

An overdose of NITRIBIOTIC up to twice the recommended dosage is harmless.
