The further development of the original kai geos and kai mineral products from the former 3+2 BASIS system into an easy-to-dose combination product that can be used in both the BASIS System Version 2 and the new HED System Version 2. Particulate minerals and fine sediments play a role in regulating microbial biofilms in coral reefs. New microbes are transported to the reef surface along with the sediments, while old biofilms are simultaneously removed. sango nutri-basic/HED #3, with its kai geos active ingredients, focuses on this bio-activation of the reef-building materials. The measured-out calcium and mineral particles are also necessary for filter-feeding organisms to build their skeletons and obtain food, and they promote the growth of the filter-feeding organism community, e.g., sponges and mussels. The kai mineral content has been doubled in sango nutri-basic/HED #3, making it even more effective against problems with cyanobacteria and microalgae. In addition to these main functions, ion-exchange-active sediments bind suspended solids in the water, which are easily skimmed off, resulting in the crystal-clear seawater typical of coral reefs. The turbidity caused by the active ingredients in sango nutri-basic/HED #3 is reduced compared to kai geos and mineral. The water clears significantly faster.
