Salifert Profi-Test NO³ - Nitrate

for Freshwater and Saltwater

The Salifert Profi-Test NO³ is specially designed for the accurate and reliable determination of nitrate levels in saltwater. However, this test can also be used to quickly and easily determine nitrate levels in freshwater or garden ponds. Nitrate is the end product of nitrification. Bacteria break down ammonium or ammonia into nitrite, which is then converted into nitrate. Nitrate is dangerous to fish at concentrations of 50 mg/l or higher. Since tap water in Germany is already permitted to contain up to 50 mg/l of nitrate, the nitrate level in aquarium water should be checked regularly and, if necessary, reduced through appropriate measures.
The test kit includes detailed instructions, an easy-to-read, finely graduated color chart, and a disposable syringe for collecting the water sample. The Salifert Profi-Test NO³ -Nitrate- contains special components that make the measurement results far more accurate than those of other test kits. The Profi-Test is sufficient for approximately 60 tests in freshwater and saltwater.
