Based on 35 years of research into the needs of corals in artificial environments, ReefLED G2 lights deliver exceptional coral growth and coloration with a wide range of REEF-SPEC light that both you and your corals will love.

The new ReefLED G2 chipset delivers a richer blue spectrum and brighter white, adjustable from 8,000 K Reef White to 23,000 K REEF-SPEC Blue, with full power starting at 10,000 K. It enhances fluorescence, color, and coral growth, while the app offers some great new features.

Reef-Safe

Not every light that pleases the eye is necessarily good for your corals. That’s why the ReefBeat app checks your lighting settings and ensures you haven’t exceeded the recommended daily exposure to light outside the PUR spectrum.

ReefLED is 100% safe for corals

It is uniquely designed with a light intensity and spectrum that are 100% utilized by corals, utilizing the optimal spectrum for coral growth and color expression between 380 and 480 nm.

Whiter light (lower Kelvin) has a higher brightness per watt than blue light (higher Kelvin).
ReefSpec blue light consists of 100% PUR (100% usable by corals), while 8,000 K white light consists of approximately 45% PUR (55% is unusable by corals).
Corals can tolerate only 5 hours per day of 8,000 K at 100% intensity and 12 hours per day of 15,000 K or higher at 100% intensity.

Our recommended “lighting” depends on: color, intensity, and exposure time.
The app displays the exposure for each time slot as a percentage of the recommended total daily amount. Total exposure (sum of all time slots) for the entire daily program.
