The Red Sea REEFER-S 850 G3 offers advanced aquarists a solid foundation and is the flagship of the REEFER aquarium line. Crystal-clear and elegant—that’s how the view into the underwater world is described, thanks to the 19mm ultra-clear glass aquarium with a stylish base cabinet. The equipment is housed in the filter aquarium (base cabinet) and operates out of sight, without obstructing the view of the reef. The tanks in the S Series are 68 cm wide and have an impressive depth of 65 cm.

Reinforced plywood base cabinets
REEFER G3 aquariums are mounted on marine-spec plywood cabinets with leveling feet; the REEFER 525 models and larger are additionally reinforced with front aluminum supports.
Pump return outlets
All REEFER models now feature hydrodynamically optimized piping for improved water distribution. REEFER 350 and higher models feature two return pump outlets with a diameter of 25 mm, while REEFER 750 and higher models feature two return pump outlets with a diameter of 32 mm. All models with dual outlets can be connected to single or dual return pumps.
Surface skimmer
The piping is concealed within a large central overflow box, which features a wide-area skimmer with removable comb sections for easy cleaning.
Quiet downflow system
The large downpipes reduce turbulence, resulting in a calmer flow, and have been redesigned with a rectangular profile to improve circulation.
High-Precision ReefGate Flow Valve
All REEFER G3 units are equipped with the new ReefGate, a high-precision, custom-designed gate valve on the outlet pipe that allows for easy flow regulation and virtually silent operation.
Hydrodynamically Optimized Piping
All models feature hydrodynamically optimized piping that ensures powerful flow throughout the entire system.

Reef-Spec Filter Tanks
The Reef-Spec sump tanks are suitable for ReefMat and refugium setups and feature an integrated smart ATO module. The sump tanks also feature a height-adjustable skimmer chamber, removable microfilters and media cups, as well as a bubble trap to prevent air bubbles from returning to the aquarium.
ReefMat-ready
The easily removable mechanical filter compartment allows for quick plug-and-play installation of the ReefMat 250/500/1200. The smart ReefMat is a roll-type filter that removes the finest suspended particles from the water, ensuring crystal-clear water. It replaces the standard filter socks used in the sump.
ReefATO Module
All models are equipped with the ReefATO+ system, controlled via the ReefBeat app, which maintains stable water volume and salinity levels and includes a precise temperature monitor and a highly sensitive leak detector.
Aquarium with Reinforced Ultra-Clear Glass
REEFER G3 aquariums are made of ultra-clear glass with beveled edges and an increased thickness of 19 mm/0.75 inches. REEFER models larger than 400 liters/100 gallons are cross-braced for added strength.
Marine-Spec Aluminum Base Cabinet
The Marine-Spec base cabinet features a removable exterior panel attached to a high-quality, sturdy aluminum frame.
Hidden Adjustable Feet
The adjustable feet allow for perfect leveling on any surface and are concealed behind the cabinet’s exterior for a sleeker appearance.
Sump Extension
The extension sump can be used for a dedicated spawning tank, a larger refugium, or simply for additional filtration. Alternatively, the extension sump can be separated from the main sump and used as a reverse osmosis tank or for saltwater changes.
Pull-Out Control Panel
Provides easy installation and access to controllers and other devices such as dosing pumps or flow pump control units. The control panel frees up space in the base cabinet, and many important components are neatly organized and readily accessible on the panel.
