In their native habitats, many ornamental fish feed on algae or the growth that forms on rocks.
In community aquariums, these fish usually receive too much animal protein, which over time can lead to obesity and a weakened immune system.
A low-stress environment, good water quality, and a species-appropriate, plant-based diet are the most important conditions for ensuring that algae- or biofilm-eating ornamental fish—especially East African cichlids—thrive in the aquarium.
In addition to a 6% spirulina content, Naturefood SUPREME PLANT also contains aloe vera as a natural softener and source of vital nutrients.

In mixed-species aquariums, please always feed Naturefood SUPREME PLANT first!
