Bright Sun UV Jungle

The Bright Sun UV Jungle was developed specifically for tropical species. It has a slightly lower UV output than the Bright Sun UV Desert to reflect the conditions in the animals’ natural habitat and their way of life. The leaves and branches in the rainforest filter out a significant amount of UV light, so the animals do not experience the full intensity of the sun. Additionally, it is important to note that tree-dwelling animals in a terrarium often have the opportunity to get very close to the lamps. Since UV radiation generally poses a potential risk and the UV intensity at a distance of 10 cm is five times higher than at a distance of 30 cm, the UV component was deliberately reduced. The spectrum has been adapted to the natural conditions in forest regions. The color temperature is 4000K, making it significantly warmer than the daylight of the Bright Sun UV Desert. Tests have shown that tropical lizards, such as water dragons, prefer the warmer light of the Bright Sun UV Jungle to the daylight of the Bright Sun UV Desert, regardless of the UV content. In addition, the warmer light brings out the green colors of plants more effectively, creating a true forest atmosphere in the terrarium.
