The JBL ProFlora CO2 Taifun Spiral 10 is a CO2 reactor that dissolves CO2 bubbles into the aquarium water. Thanks to its specially designed structure, the CO2 bubble rises in a circular motion. This ensures a long contact time with the aquarium water, allowing for efficient dissolution. The plants can then utilize the CO2 dissolved in the aquarium water to promote rapid growth. The reactor is suitable for aquariums ranging from 40 to 400 liters and is 20 cm tall.

Why CO2

Nutrients for Aquarium Plants
Plants supply the aquarium with vital oxygen for its inhabitants, prevent algae growth, remove pollutants, provide hiding places, and reduce pathogens. The JBL plant fertilization system supplies the plants with CO2—the primary nutrient—through the water. The plants absorb this CO2 and, through photosynthesis and with the help of light, convert it into sugar and oxygen.

It makes no difference to the plants where the CO₂ comes from—whether from biological or pressurized bottle systems. They grow significantly faster as soon as a CO₂ system is installed. The choice of system is more relevant to the aquarist: whether they prefer disposable bottles, refillable pressurized bottles, or a non-pressurized biological system.
