JBL ProFlora CO2 Basic Set M - with Reusable CO2 Cylinder

The JBL CO2 system comes directly to your home with a pressurized cylinder, pressure regulator, bubble counter/check valve, and reactor. This plug-and-play CO2 system thus provides everything needed to operate a CO2 system in an aquarium. Suitable for aquariums ranging from 40 to 300 liters.

JBL ProFlora CO2 Basic Set M – with reusable CO2 cylinder

• Ready-to-connect CO2 fertilization system for optimal care of all aquarium plants in freshwater aquariums ranging from 40 to 300 l, thereby preventing algae growth

• Easy setup: Screw the pressure regulator onto the cylinder, connect the hose to the bubble counter/check valve and the diffuser. Adjust the bubble count—and you’re done

• Reusable CO2 storage cylinder TÜV-certified. Hose stays securely in place thanks to screw fittings; check valve prevents water from entering the cylinder

• The correct CO2 concentration in the aquarium water is checked using the CO2/pH permanent test strip and adjusted as needed

Why CO2

Food for Aquarium
Plants Plants supply the aquarium with vital oxygen for its inhabitants, prevent algae growth, remove pollutants, provide hiding places, and reduce pathogens. The JBL plant fertilization system supplies plants with CO2—the primary nutrient—via the water. The plants absorb this CO2 and, through photosynthesis with the help of light, convert it into sugar and oxygen.

It makes no difference to the plants where the CO₂ comes from—whether from biological or pressurized bottle systems. They grow significantly faster as soon as a CO₂ system is installed. The choice of system is more a matter of personal preference for the aquarist: whether they prefer disposable bottles, refillable pressurized bottles, or a non-pressurized biological system.
