JBL ProFlora CO2 Advanced Set U – with disposable CO2 cylinder
Ready-to-connect CO₂ fertilization system with solenoid valve for nighttime shutdown, ensuring optimal nutrition for all aquarium plants in freshwater aquariums ranging from 40 to 600 l and thereby preventing algae growth
Easy setup: Screw the pressure regulator with the attached solenoid valve onto the cylinder; connect the hose with the bubble counter/check valve to the reactor. Plug the solenoid valve into a timer (not included), set the bubble count—and you’re done
Disposable storage cylinder is TÜV-certified. The hose won’t slip off thanks to the hose fittings, and the check valve prevents water from entering the cylinder. The pressure gauges display both cylinder pressure and operating pressure
The correct CO2 concentration in the aquarium water is checked using the included CO2/pH permanent test strip and adjusted if necessary
Package Contents: 500 g disposable CO2 cylinder, pressure regulator with solenoid valve, 3 m hose, bubble counter with check valve, TAIFUN CO2 reactor + expansion set, CO2/pH continuous test kit with reagents

The CO2 system features a disposable CO2 pressure cylinder with a pressure regulator attached to it. This regulator allows you to adjust the amount of CO2 released into the aquarium. In addition, the aquarium CO₂ system includes a solenoid valve for nighttime shutdown, since plants do not require CO₂ at night when there is no light available. A CO₂-resistant silicone hose runs from the solenoid valve directly to the bubble counter. Finally, inside the aquarium, the CO₂ reaches the diffuser and is dissolved in the aquarium water with as long a contact time as possible. It is then absorbed by the plants and utilized for rapid growth.

The aquarium CO₂ system comes with plenty of accessories.
Why CO2
Food for Aquarium
Plants Plants supply the aquarium with vital oxygen for its inhabitants, prevent algae growth, remove pollutants, provide hiding places, and reduce pathogens. The JBL plant fertilization system supplies the plants with CO2—the primary nutrient—through the water. The plants absorb this CO2 and, through photosynthesis with the help of light, convert it into sugar and oxygen.
It makes no difference to the plants where the CO₂ comes from—whether from biological or pressurized bottle systems. They grow significantly faster as soon as a CO₂ system is installed. The choice of system is more relevant to the aquarist: whether they prefer disposable bottles, refillable pressurized bottles, or a non-pressurized biological system.
