Product Description
JBL ProFlora CO2 Advanced Bio Set
The JBL Bio CO2 system operates entirely without a pressurized cylinder. It uses the natural fermentation process to produce CO2, which is then added to the aquarium. The system is suitable for aquariums ranging from 40 to 110 liters.
Supplies aquarium plants with CO2, the primary nutrient for healthy and vigorous growth, thereby preventing algae growth
Natural: CO2 production through a biological fermentation process
No CO2 pressure cylinder required.
JBL ProFlora CO2 Advanced Bio Set – CO2 addition via a natural fermentation process
Supplies aquarium plants with the essential nutrient CO2 for healthy and vigorous growth, thereby preventing algae
Easy setup: Mix the bio-components with water in the reaction bottle, connect the hose with the backflow preventer to the reactor. Place the reaction vessel in the thermal protector—and you’re done
Natural: CO2 production via a biological fermentation process. Long-lasting: 2x40 days of consistent CO2 production thanks to an immediate and long-term buffer system. Bio-components can be purchased separately for refills
No CO2 pressure cylinder required. The system operates exclusively via a biological process in a high-quality, transparent reaction vessel
What’s Included: Ready-to-connect bio-CO2 fertilization system, including reaction vessel, thermal insulation, 2x bio-components, 3 m special CO2 hose, suction holder, backflow preventer, and expandable reactor

: The CO2 system features a container in which the fermentation process takes place. The CO2 produced is fed into the aquarium via a CO2-resistant 4/6 CO2 silicone hose. Once there, it is atomized by the diffuser suspended in the aquarium and dissolved in the water. Finally, it is absorbed by the plants and utilized for rapid growth.

: The container where the fermentation process takes place can simply be glued to the aquarium.

Alternatively, the container can be mounted using screws.
Why CO2?
Food for aquarium plants
: Plants supply the aquarium with vital oxygen for its inhabitants, prevent algae growth, remove pollutants, provide hiding places, and reduce pathogens. The JBL plant fertilization system supplies the plants with CO2—the primary nutrient—via the water. The plants absorb this CO2 and, through photosynthesis with the help of light, convert it into sugar and oxygen.
It makes no difference to the plants where the CO₂ comes from—whether from biological or pressurized bottle systems. They grow significantly faster as soon as a CO₂ system is installed. The choice of system is more a matter of personal preference for the aquarist: whether they prefer disposable bottles, refillable pressurized bottles, or a non-pressurized biological system.
