Healthy Fish An air pump is beneficial for the aquarium at night, as plants do not produce oxygen in the dark. In aquariums with minimal plant life, the pump ensures the necessary water circulation. In aquariums with dense plant life, the air pump supplies the aquarium with oxygen at night, as the oxygen level can drop to problematic levels due to the abundance of plants. In the event of disease, the air pump increases the oxygen level in the water, which is necessary when using many medications.  Easy Installation: Connect the hose to the air pump. Cut the air hose to length and install the check valve. Cut the remaining hose to the desired length. Connect one end to the check valve and the other end to the air stone. Mount the pump on a dry wall near the aquarium, if possible. A hook for hanging is included.
