A new feature compared to the JBL CristalProfi e 1901 model is that the top filter basket has been completely redesigned for greater efficiency: Instead of smaller, externally mounted pre-filter mats in the filter basket, there is now a pre-filter mat that is twice as large and runs the entire length of the basket. As a result, the filter is less likely to clog even under very heavy dirt loads, and the pre-filters need to be cleaned less frequently.
