Temperature Control Two important factors affect the water temperature in the aquarium: room temperature and sunlight. If the room temperature rises significantly in the summer, it is important to check the temperature in the aquarium regularly. The target range is 24–26°C. Temperatures above 30 °C are very problematic and can cause significant damage to fish and plants. Aquariums should also never be exposed to direct sunlight. The higher the temperature, the less oxygen—which is vital for the animals—dissolves in the water.  Easy Installation Connect the JBL CoolControl to the cooling fan and the sensor using a 5/2 mm connector. Evaporative Cooling The JBL CoolControl controls cooling fans (e.g., JBL Cooler—all sizes). The fan causes the warm water at the water’s surface to evaporate, thereby generating cooling. This is comparable to the evaporative cooling effect of a wet part of the body exposed to the wind.
