Product Description
JBL PROAQUATEST COMBISET Plus Fe Test Kit
Test kit for the most important water parameters in freshwater aquariums, including an iron test
Easy and reliable monitoring of aquarium water parameters. Measures: pH, carbonate hardness, iron, nitrite, nitrate, CO2 (calculated using a table)
Easy to use: Add aquarium water to the cuvette using a syringe, add the indicator, and compare the color to the color scale; or, for the KH test, count the drops until the color changes
The comparator system accounts for the water’s natural color. CO2 content is determined using the pH and KH values via a table
Child-resistant reagent bottles, waterproof plastic case; refill reagents sold separately
Package contents
: 1 test kit for aquariums; 7 reagents, 3 glass cuvettes, syringe, measuring spoon, comparator block, plastic cuvette, color charts, log sheets, instruction manual
Tests included – 6
JBL pH 3–10 Water Test
JBL KH Water Test (carbonate hardness)

General Information on Aquarium Water Testing—Why Is It Important?
A Healthy Aquarium with Conditions
Close to Nature The correct water parameters in an aquarium depend on the fish population and the plants present. Even if the water looks clear, it may still be contaminated. Poor water parameters can lead to diseases or algae blooms in the aquarium. To maintain a healthy aquarium with conditions close to nature, it is important to regularly monitor and adjust the water parameters. With JBL water tests, you can determine all relevant water parameters quickly, easily, and with great precision.
The following tests are also available individually:
pH test: Water acidity from 3.0 to 10
pH test: Water acidity from 6.0 to 7.6
pH test: Water pH from 7.4 to 9.0
O2 test: Determination of the oxygen content
CO2 test: Determination of carbon dioxide levels for vigorous plant growth
GH test: Determination of total hardness
KH test: pH stability of the water (carbonate hardness)
PO4 Test: Determination of phosphate content (cause of algae and plant nutrient)
NH4 / NH3 Test: Indicates non-toxic ammonium; determines toxic ammonia using a chart
NO2 Test: Determining nitrite, a nitrogen compound toxic to fish
NO3 Test: Determination of nitrate content (cause of algae growth and plant nutrient)
Fe test: Determination of iron content for fertilizer control
Cu test: A heavy metal that is lethal to invertebrates. Also important for adjusting the therapeutic dose of medications
SiO₂ test: Determination of silicates (silicic acid) as a cause of diatom growth
To determine the CO2 content, simply measure the pH and KH. These two values determine the CO2 content of the water, which can then be found in the included table. Through its research department and worldwide expeditions to the animals’ natural habitats, JBL is constantly setting new standards with its product innovations.
