RED X

Special liquid treatment for controlling algae in saltwater aquariums.

RED X prevents algae growth in the aquarium and works in a biological and organic manner. RED X is very gentle to use and, when dosed as directed, has no adverse effects on fish, corals, or invertebrates. RED X is a specialized liquid treatment against algae and bacteria, developed for use in marine aquariums.

Rebiotic treatment following the initial treatment
Fauna Marin recommends a course of Fauna Marin Rebiotic after treatment to establish a healthy and effective biological balance in the aquarium. This effectively prevents reinfection with unwanted biofilms. In particularly stubborn cases, you can repeat the treatment after a 1-week rest period. Only then should you begin using Rebiotic.

1. Analysis and identification of the problem (diagnosis)

4. Check and proper adjustment of the equipment
5. Treatment with the appropriate product if previous measures prove unsuccessful.

Fauna Marin has tested the product in hundreds of aquariums, and in over 99% of cases, a single treatment was successful.

Purely biological action!
It contains no prescription medications or antibiotics. RED X’s effect is initiated by inhibiting metabolic cycles within the unwanted algae/bacteria and does not affect normal cycle-related bacteria.

Why RED X?
RED X prevents algae growth in the aquarium and works in a biological/organic way. It is particularly effective at eliminating mild cyanobacteria, dinoflagellates, and, above all, gold algae blooms.

RED X or DINO X?
RED X works gently and supports the aquarium’s natural balance. Fauna Marin recommends using RED X before treating with DINO X, as the latter is significantly more potent. Aquariums with severe infestations, such as those infected with the “brown plague,” should be treated immediately with DINO X.

CAUTION for aquariums in the cycling phase!
You should not use RED X if you have just started your aquarium. The biofilms and algae that grow during the cycling phase are part of the healthy development of a saltwater aquarium and should not be disturbed!

Correct Water Parameters
: Red X is not a substitute for properly balancing water and nutrient levels. Fauna Marin recommends conducting an ICP analysis and ensuring all water parameters are correctly balanced alongside every application. Cyanobacterial blooms are closely linked to certain ratios of trace elements and nutrients and can only be permanently eliminated by properly adjusting the aquarium parameters.

Dosage
: 10 ml of RED X per 100 liters daily for 6 days—followed by 5 days of active duration
Additional
dosage: The product can be dosed together with commercially
available bacterial preparations 

Dosage Instructions

• Do not use activated carbon, other absorbents, ozone, or UV systems;
• Protein skimmers may remain in operation
• Use dosing pumps for regular dosing and add the entire dose at once
• You can perform the dosing at any time
• Do not perform a water change during the treatment period
• Remove all existing biofilm by vacuuming it out, if possible
• Once the treatment period has ended—that is, after 11 days at the earliest—you can resume normal maintenance 
• If you’re dosing by hand, use a syringe to prevent contamination of the product
• Calculate the water volume precisely
• Do not overdose
• Reduce amino acid/vitamin
  dosages by 50%   

Safety Notice

• Intended for use in aquariums only.
• Keep out of reach of children!
• Do not swallow! Not suitable for human consumption or for use in pet food.
• In case of skin or eye contact, rinse thoroughly with running water.

Storage Instructions

• The product has a shelf life of approximately 3 years when unopened
• Store in a dry place, protected from light, at normal room temperature.
• Avoid contaminating the product with bacteria or dirt.
• Ensure that children do not have access to the products, whether in use or in storage.
   

Disposal

• Once completely empty, the bottle can be disposed of with household trash or at recycling collection points.
• Please follow your local waste disposal regulations.
