ELEMENTALS TRACE Selenium
ELEMENTALS TRACE Se is a high-purity, stabilized selenium solution for reef aquariums designed to individually correct existing selenium deficiencies.

The Elementals series is designed for use with regular ICP analyses. Fauna Marin ICP analyses help you maintain your aquarium perfectly.

In addition to the measured values, Fauna Marin ICP analyses also provide you with all necessary dosing recommendations. In addition to the salts of the major elements calcium, magnesium, and carbonate hardness, we also offer a range of special trace elements that play an essential role in marine aquariums. Trace elements—unlike major elements such as calcium, magnesium, or potassium—are elements present in seawater at concentrations lower than 1 mg/l. These include, for example, copper, chromium, manganese, and selenium, as well as iron, iodine, and zinc.

The functions of trace elements can vary greatly. In the knowledge database on the Fauna Marin website, you’ll find an overview of the specific functions of each element. Trace elements can be found in many different substances and can thus also enter the aquarium water; however, a deficiency can cause significant problems despite the low concentration required in the water. An adequate supply of all important trace elements is therefore essential for a healthy reef aquarium.

Our single-element solutions are made from the purest raw materials, which are produced using the appropriate organic or inorganic compounds depending on the function of the elements. For production and quality control, we utilize our coral farm and, of course, our own ICP laboratory.

Dosage

• 1 ml of Elementals Trace Se increases the selenium content in 100 l of aquarium water by 0.5 µg/l.
• Dosage is based on need.
• Fauna Marin recommends a maximum daily increase of 1 µg/l selenium (2 ml Elementals Trace Se per 100 l daily).

Storage Instructions

• Keep tightly closed after opening.
• The product has a shelf life of approximately 3 years.
• Store in a dry place, protected from light, at normal room temperature.
• Avoid contaminating the product with bacteria or dirt.
• Make sure children cannot access the products, whether in use or in storage.
   

Disposal
: The completely empty bottle can be disposed of with household trash or at recycling collection points.
Please follow your local waste disposal regulations.
