DINO X

Specialized liquid algaecide for controlling dinoflagellates and golden algae in saltwater aquariums.

• DINO X is a specialized liquid algaecide for combating golden algae and other dinoflagellates commonly found in saltwater aquariums
• DINO X prevents algae growth in the aquarium and eliminates existing infestations
• DINO X is intended for use in saltwater aquariums
• DINO X specifically targets single-celled algae such as dinoflagellates, diatoms, or golden algae
• DINO X is also effective against higher algae
• DINO X is harmless to invertebrates and fish
• The zooxanthellae in corals are protected and survive treatment without any problems
• Use in reef aquariums does not disturb the existing bacterial flora and therefore does not destabilize the aquarium environment
• Dino X is not effective against cyanobacteria!

Dosage

• 5 ml of DINO X per 100 liters of aquarium water
• It is very important to calculate the exact volume of the aquarium to prevent potential overdoses. In cases of very severe infestation and with a good skimmer, up to 6 ml per 100 liters can be dosed
• Set the main lighting period to a maximum of 6 hours per day.
• The product should always be dosed in the evening or 1 hour after turning off the main lighting.
• This halts photosynthesis in the zooxanthellae, ensuring the product’s optimal effectiveness.
• Repeat this dosing every 2 days until the targeted algae have completely disappeared.
• Set the skimmer to full power and run it 24/7.
• Do not perform water changes during the dosing period; the first water change should take place approximately 1 week after dosing ends.
• Do not add trace elements during the dosing period.
• Also, do not add mineral salts, amino acid supplements, SPS food, or Balling trace elements.
• Do not use OZONE or charcoal during the dosing period.
• Do not use any type of adsorber during the dosing period.
• After completing the treatment, filtration using Fauna Marin Carb L activated carbon is recommended, following the dosing instructions.
• Water parameters can be adjusted using Balling Light or lime water. These do not affect DINO X. However, ready-made products should not be used, as they very often contain additional trace elements.
• A general treatment duration cannot be specified. Usually, 10 dosing cycles are sufficient to control dinoflagellates, and approximately 15 cycles are sufficient for other algae.
