The Exo Terra Full Moon was designed to simulate natural moonlight in your terrarium. The Full Moon mimics moonlight, allowing you to observe your animals at night without disrupting their natural behavior. Crepuscular and nocturnal animals can use this moonlight to navigate their territory and search for insects, mates, and more. In complete darkness, these animals would otherwise be unable to orient themselves. The Full Moon is equipped with a light sensor and automatically turns on after the terrarium lights have been turned off. To create a realistic moon-like appearance, craters are featured on the surface of the Full Moon. Since the Full Moon emits very little heat, the temperature inside the terrarium can drop at night, just as it does in the wild. The Full Moon is easy to install on the inside of the terrarium’s mesh cover and is held in place by a strong magnet.
