Product Description
Dupla RO600
» The reverse osmosis system removes contaminants and hardness-causing substances from tap water, thereby optimally treating it. Reverse osmosis water is used as the source water for saltwater and freshwater aquariums and provides the perfect, uncontaminated foundation.
Creates optimal source water for saltwater and freshwater aquariums
Contaminants (e.g., silicate, nitrate) and hardness-causing substances are physically removed from the water.
The downstream ultrapure water filter removes even the smallest residues
Concentrate-to-permeate ratio: 1 : 1 (depending on the quality of the source water)
The average retention rate of the membrane is 90–98%
Capacity: approx. 600 L/day
Concentrate-to-permeate ratio: 1 : 1
Dupla RO600 Reverse Osmosis System
Reverse osmosis systems produce optimal source water for marine and freshwater aquariums. Often, many water-related problems can only be solved by using reverse osmosis water. Reverse osmosis systems operate on the principle of physical filtration. Unlike ion exchangers, for example, which replace hardness-forming ions (e.g., calcium) with other, non-hardness-forming ions (e.g., sodium), a reverse osmosis system physically removes contaminants (e.g., silicate, nitrate) and hardness-forming substances are physically removed from the water. The water flows through a semipermeable membrane in the reverse osmosis system under the pressure (2–6 bar max.) typically found in household water lines. The substances dissolved in the water (contaminants, salts, or hardness-forming substances) cannot pass through the membrane’s fine lattice structure and remain in the wastewater. This wastewater is discharged as concentrate and can be safely used for cleaning, watering plants, or general household purposes. The downstream ultrapure water filter removes even the smallest residues from the permeate (the usable water from a reverse osmosis system) and indicates the exhaustion status of the exchanger (Duresin RI) by changing color from blue to green. The PWT (Pure Water Tester) can be used at any time to easily check the water quality of the permeate (usable water).

The reverse osmosis system is equipped with a downstream ultrapure water filter, also known as a mixed-bed resin filter. This filter removes even the smallest traces of impurities.

The pressure hoses are connected using a quick-connect fitting and are easy to handle during maintenance.

The downstream ultrapure water filter is easy to maintain. This allows the mixed-bed resin to be quickly replaced when it is spent. The mixed-bed resin indicates the exhaustion status of the exchanger (Duresin RI) by changing color from blue to green.

Technical Specifications
Capacity: approx. 600 l/day, depending on the quality and pressure of the incoming water
Average capacity: 500–650 L/day at 8–15°C and 3–6 bar pressure
Concentrate-to-permeate ratio: 1 : 1 (depending on the quality of the feed water)
The average membrane rejection rate is 90–98%
Aluminum: 97–98%
Cadmium 95–98%
Bacteria 99%
Nitrates: max. 90%
Silicates: max. 90%
Sulfates 97–98%
Hardness components 95–98%
Through additional ultrapure water filtration, the remaining contaminants in the permeate are reduced by another 99%. The initial value measured by the PWT (Pure Water Tester) should be 000 ppm when using a new ultrapure water resin.
