Reef Zlements PhosFate

PhosFate is an extremely efficient liquid PO4 remover that binds phosphate, allowing mechanical filters such as skimmers and filter rollers to remove the phosphate from the aquarium.
 

We recommend dosing PhosFate directly into the skimmer pump or the skimmer neck.

PhosFate can also be dosed using a dosing pump, but please dose carefully and according to the recommendations below:

Phosphate Level

• 0.04 - 0.25 ppm: 0.1 - 1.0 ml/day
• 0.26–1.00 ppm: 1.1–2.5 ml/day
• 1.10–5.0+ ppm: 2.5–5+ ml/day

Do not overdose. Although dosing with PhosFate is very safe, an overdose of PhosFate can lead to deposits of white flocculant on rock surfaces, corals, glass, etc. It can also cause breathing problems in fish, as the flocculant can enter the fish’s gills and become lodged there.
