Nickel is found in reefs around the world and is an essential element for many marine organisms, as it promotes numerous enzymatic processes and also contributes to more vivid colors.

Nickel is quickly depleted from the water in our tanks. Therefore, it is important to monitor the nickel level through ICP analysis and ensure an appropriate level and stability by dosing as needed.


The nickel concentration in seawater is approximately 0.5–2 μg/l:

Reef Zlements Ni Nickel, used in conjunction with regular testing, enables every aquarist to adjust the nickel level to ensure that the values in their aquarium remain within the optimal range for their animals.

​1 ml of Reef Zlements Ni Nickel increases the nickel concentration in 100 liters by 2 μg/l.
