Magnesium is a macronutrient found in abundance in reefs around the world.
It is a component of coral skeletons and other animals, and is involved in a variety of cellular processes such as cell division, skeletal calcification, and others.

Magnesium interacts with calcium and affects calcium precipitation, making it more difficult. 

Magnesium is a macronutrient that is depleted from the water in our aquariums quite quickly. Therefore, it is important to add magnesium in a stable and consistent manner. The magnesium level should be checked regularly and adjusted to the optimal range, i.e., between 1280 and 1440 mg/l.

With Reef Zlements Mg Magnesium, used in conjunction with regular testing, every aquarist can correct magnesium levels and ensure that the levels in their aquarium water remain within the optimal range for their animals.
