REEF SCAPER Seawater / Adhesive / Reef & Coral Adhesive

Reef Scaper is a specially developed reef & coral adhesive for fast and reliable application both in and out of the water.

Reef Scaper is the ideal aquarium mortar for bonding reef, rock, and ceramic structures, or for attaching corals and offshoots. The adhesive is free of harmful substances and heavy metal compounds such as chromate, and contains no harmful silicate.

Reef Scaper is easy to apply, cures very quickly, and provides an ideal surface for colonization by, for example, calcareous red algae and beneficial bacteria.

Application

Approx. 3 parts Reef Scaper + 1 part water Example: 150 g Reef Scaper + 50 g water - Setting time approx. 2 min 

Approx. 2 parts Reef Scaper + 1 part sand + ¾ part water Example: 100 g Reef Scaper + 50 g sand + 37.5 g water - Setting time approx. 3 min

Tips

• Always mix Reef Scaper into a pliable putty consistency and never apply it to the aquarium in a thin, liquid state.

• Mix Reef Scaper within one minute if possible and apply immediately.

• Warm water speeds up the setting time; cold water slows it down.

• If using sand as a filler, it must be clean and dry. We recommend using coral sand in saltwater and river or quartz sand in freshwater.

• When applying to glass, the surface must be degreased, dry, and clean.

• Always wear disposable gloves when modeling with Reef Scaper.
