Macro Basic - NPK

In a brightly lit and well-planted aquarium, or one with few fish, the macronutrients may not be sufficient to maintain healthy plant growth. Makro Basic NPK supplies your aquarium with the most important macronutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium. This allows your plants to thrive and grow well.
Water changes of 25% to 50% per week are recommended. The dosage can be increased or decreased depending on the tank. This fertilizer should not be used if nitrate and/or phosphate levels in the aquarium are high. The fertilizer is designed so that macronutrients do not accumulate in high concentrations in the aquarium. If high nitrate and/or phosphate levels result from using the fertilizer, the dosage should be reduced.

2 ml of Makro Basic NPK added to 50 l of aquarium water provides the following nutrients

NO3: 1.00 mg/L

PO4: 0.10 mg/L

K: 1.30 mg/L

Mg: 0.10 mg/L

Dosage per 50 liters

High light (>0.5 watts per liter) + CO2
2 ml per day

Low light (<0.5 watts per liter) + CO2
1 ml per day

Without CO2 supply
: 2–4 ml per week
The dosage recommendation is only a guideline. The fertilizer dosage can be reduced or increased depending on the aquarium to achieve optimal results.

A basic supply of macronutrients to the aquarium is provided either through the NPK fertilizer, Estimative Index fertilizer, or through individual nutrient fertilizers (Makro Basic Nitrate, Phosphate, and Potassium). The Aqua Rebell Makro Basic NPK aquatic plant fertilizer adds nitrate, phosphate, potassium, and magnesium to the aquarium. Aqua Rebell Makro Basic NPK thus covers all essential macronutrients and ensures healthy plant growth. The NPK fertilizer is designed to prevent high nutrient concentrations from building up in the aquarium; however, as a general rule, you should only dose as much per day as the aquatic plants consume in a single day. The recommended dosage is an excellent starting point for adjusting the fertilization to suit your specific aquarium. Especially when it comes to macronutrient fertilization, some personal effort is required to determine the appropriate dose, as macronutrient input is additionally influenced by variables such as fish stocking and feed input.
