Makro Basic - Nitrate

In a brightly lit and well-planted aquarium, or one with few fish, macronutrients may sometimes be insufficient to maintain healthy plant growth. Makro Basic Nitrate supplies your aquarium with the essential macronutrients nitrogen and potassium. This allows your plants to thrive once again.
Water changes of 25% to 50% per week are recommended. The dosage can be increased or decreased depending on the tank. This fertilizer should not be used if nitrate levels in the aquarium are high. The fertilizer is designed so that macronutrients do not accumulate in high concentrations in the aquarium. If high nitrate levels result from using the fertilizer, the dosage should be reduced.

1 ml of Makro Basic Nitrate added to 50 l of aquarium water provides the following nutrients

NO3: 1.00 mg/l

K: 0.60 mg/l

Dosage per 50 liters

High light (>0.5 watts per liter) + CO2
1 ml per day

Low light (<0.5 watts per liter) + CO2
0.5 ml per day

Without CO2 supply: 1–2 ml per week
The dosage recommendation is only a guideline. The fertilizer dosage can be reduced or increased depending on the aquarium to achieve optimal results. 

A basic supply of macronutrients to the aquarium is provided either through NPK fertilizer, Estimative Index fertilizer, or single-nutrient fertilizers (Makro Basic Nitrate, Phosphate, and Potassium). The Aqua Rebell Makro Basic Nitrate aquatic plant fertilizer is the most important component of single-nutrient fertilization. It supplies the aquarium with the essential nutrient nitrogen and is also ideal for shock fertilization (a single, larger dose of fertilizer), for example, after a water change. This makes it very easy to achieve a nitrate level of approximately 10–20 mg/l that is ideal for aquatic plants. Of course, a daily dosage of Aqua Rebell Makro Basic Nitrate can also be administered. In addition to nitrogen, Makro Basic Nitrate also supplies the aquarium with the important nutrient potassium.
