Makro Basic - Estimative Index

In a brightly lit and well-planted aquarium, or one with few fish, macronutrients may sometimes be insufficient to maintain healthy plant growth. Makro Basic Estimative Index supplies your aquarium with the most important macronutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium. This allows your plants to thrive once again.
A 50% water change should be performed weekly to prevent high concentrations of macronutrients from accumulating in the aquarium water. The dosage of the fertilizer can be increased or decreased depending on the tank. A sufficient CO2 supply of approximately 30 mg/l should also be ensured. Additionally, Mikro Basic Iron Complete Fertilizer or Mikro Spezial Flowgrow must be dosed daily at a rate of 0.5–1 ml per 40 l of aquarium water to provide sufficient micronutrients.

1 ml of Makro Basic Estimative Index in 40 L of water adds the following nutrients

NO3 0.92 mg/l

PO4 0.17 mg/l

K 0.70 mg/l

Mg 0.025 mg/l

Dosage per 40 liters

High light (>0.5 watts per liter) + CO2
5 ml per day

Low light (<0.5 watts per liter) + CO2
0.5–2 ml per day

Without CO2 supply: 1–2 ml per week
The dosage recommendation is only a guideline. The fertilizer dosage can be reduced or increased depending on the aquarium to achieve optimal results.

A basic supply of macronutrients to the aquarium is provided either through NPK fertilizer, Estimative Index fertilizer, or individual nutrient fertilizers (Makro Basic Nitrate, Phosphate, and Potassium).
