With Aqua Rebell CO2 Check 250 ml, you can reliably measure the CO2 level in your aquarium water. This level is particularly important in aquascaping aquariums. Simply add the liquid to a continuous CO2 test kit.
Accurate determination of CO2 levels
Does not need to be mixed with aquarium water
Compatible with all continuous test kits
Easy to read
Perfect for maintaining optimal CO2 levels in an aquascape
Aqua Rebell CO2 Check 250 ml - Reliably measures the CO2 level in aquarium water.
The CO2 long-term test solution “CO2 Check – 20 mg per liter or 30 mg per liter” can be added to any standard CO2 long-term test kit and is used for long-term monitoring of CO2 levels. An optimal CO2 level is essential for the healthy growth of your aquatic plants and should therefore be monitored continuously. The CO2 continuous test solution has the advantage that the CO2 level is determined independently of the aquarium water, meaning that substances such as humic acids cannot influence the CO2 measurement.

Recommended Use
Pour 1–2 ml of the CO2 continuous test solution into your continuous test kit and place it in a well-circulated area of your aquarium. After 1–2 hours, you can read the CO2 level of the aquarium water. If the solution turns green, the aquarium has an optimal CO2 level of approximately 20 mg/l or 30 mg/l.
A CO2 continuous test is a very useful tool in an aquarium. Aquatic plants often lack essential CO₂, preventing them from growing optimally. A CO₂ continuous test allows you to monitor the CO₂ level with sufficient accuracy. The dye bromothymol blue is used for this purpose, as it changes color within certain pH ranges.
The CO₂ diffuses from the aquarium water through the air bubble in the continuous test into the test solution and vice versa. Depending on its CO₂ content, the pH value of the test solution changes, and with it, its color. A fixed carbonate hardness level in the test solution determines which pH value corresponds to which CO₂ concentration. The “CO2 Check 20 mg per liter or 30 mg per liter” test solution turns light green when its pH is approximately 6.6. This pH is reached at a CO2 concentration of 20 mg/l or 30 mg/l. For this reason, the “CO2 Check 20 mg per liter or 30 mg per liter” test solution turns a light shade of green when the CO2 level in the aquarium water is 20 mg/l or 30 mg/l.
