Tropic Marin Salt - Bio-Actif

The salt in Tropic Marin’s Bio-Actif version is the ideal foundation for your saltwater aquarium. It contains all major and trace elements in natural proportions. The special benefit of the Bio-Actif version is that it establishes a healthy microbial balance, which not only significantly stabilizes water quality but also provides long-term nutritional support for invertebrates.

Bio-Actif Salt – Sea salt with natural bioactive substances from the ocean.

The unique BIO-ACTIF sea salt contains natural bioactive substances from the ocean that support the aquarium’s microbiology, thereby promoting growth and protecting the aquarium’s wildlife.

As a result, corals naturally display vibrant and radiant colors, and skeletal growth as well as the formation of stronger tissue are stimulated. The reserves built up in this way make the corals more robust and resilient. Fish also benefit from the bioactive substances, as they help form effective protection for their mucous membranes. The fish demonstrate their increased well-being through heightened mating and reproductive activity.

Tropic Marin® BIO-ACTIF Sea Salt is suitable for both beginners and advanced aquarists, and creates particularly stable care conditions for the aquatic life.

Recommended Use

To achieve a salinity of 32–35 ‰ (psu), dissolve 35 ml of BIO-ACTIF per liter of water in a container with water circulation. The density of the saltwater solution should be 1.022 to 1.024 at a temperature of 25 °C.

When measuring the conductivity of freshly prepared BIO-ACTIF saltwater, the readings will be approximately 10% too low. We therefore recommend measuring the density with a hydrometer or refractometer. The seawater prepared in this way is ready for use as soon as the salt is completely dissolved. A slight cloudiness in the seawater is normal and indicates that the bioactive substances are taking effect.

When setting up a new aquarium, stable biological conditions suitable for keeping sensitive marine organisms do not establish themselves until after a few weeks. A weekly partial water change of up to 10% using BIO-ACTIF sea salt helps maintain the water quality in which your aquatic pets will thrive.
