Premium powdered food (supplemental feed) for ornamental clams and other filter-feeding aquarium inhabitants.

Maintaining ornamental clams in an aquarium over the long term without supplemental feeding is a difficult task. In the aquarium, many suspended particles that could potentially serve as food for the clams are trapped by the filter and are therefore unavailable. Targeted feeding of these specialized feeders is therefore necessary.

Although Brotia species (e.g., the pagoda snail, Brotia pagodula) have a radula (rasp-like tongue), it is believed that they also filter-feed. This is also believed to apply to some other snail species.
Like mussels, they therefore require a nutrient-rich specialized food that floats freely in the water for a long time, sinks slowly, and consists of high-quality animal and plant-based ingredients.
Minerals and calcium ensure healthy shell and shell development. To feed snails with sinking foods, we recommend the PREMIUM GREEN FOOD MIX and the PREMIUM WAFERS from Naturefood.

With Naturefood PREMIUM FOR FILTER FEEDERS, you can feed your water-filtering aquarium inhabitants without polluting the aquarium water with food that sinks too quickly.

Shortly after feeding, when the current created by the filter causes the food to “circulate” in the aquarium, please turn off the aquarium filter for about 20 minutes. This allows the food to reach the mussels and snails and prevents it from being immediately sucked up by the aquarium filter.

But please don’t forget to turn the filter back on after feeding.
