Feeding
recommendation: Feed several times a day in amounts that will be eaten quickly. For adult animals, 4 to 5 feedings per week are sufficient. Feed as is, soaked in a small amount of water, or mixed with fresh meadow herbs.

Treat your tortoise
to healthy food. Tortoises are picky eaters—they certainly won’t eat just anything—and may even be tempted by some foods they shouldn’t consume. For example, tomatoes, bananas, citrus fruits, and meat-based foods are unsuitable. In collaboration with Dr. Petra Kölle at Munich University of Applied Sciences, the composition of JBL Herbil NEU and its enrichment with tasty herbs were developed. Acceptance tests clearly showed that tortoises distinctly prefer JBL Herbil NEU to all other foods offered. After all, even if a food is perfectly balanced from a nutritional standpoint, the animal must first accept it! JBL Herbil NEU has truly succeeded in this regard. With JBL Herbil NEU, your turtles receive an ideal complete food. Of course, you’re welcome to let them forage for greens and herbs in the summer to supplement their basic diet. Variety is always welcome for any turtle.
